Your body is your temple is a truly said phrase and to add to that- it is a temple and a gift. The word gift can sound extra for something we look at ordinarily but if we are experiencing our body consciously we know it's rides. Here is a message, from a very important part, rather whole of you to you, especially when we feel that it is not with us...

Dear self,

"I am your best companion, your most authentic signal, your best friend, your supporter. I am a gift to you because I am nudging you every single time to let you know that I am here. You look at me with fright when something goes wrong with me, as if I am your enemy but little are you understanding that I am with you like no other being on this planet. I am not here to scare you with any disease or illness but to remind you that I am helpless too when you don't care for me enough and I am crying for your attention and care. I am here to protect you and not make you runaway from me, because how far will you? How long will you?


I am always hearing you and I understand when you are not feeling safe sometimes. In an attempt to protect you, I have done, I do and I will do whatever it takes to make you feel safe. I might freeze, fawn, panic, defend, deny, project, dissociate, split into personalities, fantasize, also take up pains, diseases and what not just to keep you safe. I know it doesn't look quite safe to you. If you were to check with your emotions though, sometimes that might end up enduring more pain than what I am giving you. Hence I am rescuing you when you are not ready to dive in that aspect. You may take your time and I might not break down always but I have a limit too which when crossed, leads me to struggle. I want you to acknowledge me in the times when you do feel good in me and understand me, my reasons for doing things the way I do. It may take some time for me to break years of what I am conditioned to but you know I always do my best when you guide me in the right direction. When you check with me-how I feel, where I feel and what part of me needs attention, you are doing it right. As you understand me, I learn, I learn to respond to you in my absolute best way.


I like it when we rest, when we laugh and play, when we de-role from our everyday. I like it when you ground me, I absolutely adore you when you keep me in the present and give me the experience of a sigh of relieving breath I have been craving for the whole day. I finally ease out when you notice my clenched muscles and stretch to release me from the tension. I am cheering you from the other side for that. I have a great liking for healthy food, it makes me feel alive. I also don't mind joining you notoriously when you want that chocolate, bag of chips or that plate of pizza. I am never scolding you for that but just so you know, I want us to feel at the best of our health so take care of me equally. I want us to be happy. I am hurt when you're not moving me, when you're ignoring me and feeding me with things that are not healthy for me. That includes technology too. The overstimulation drains me. I can't help but get triggered till you finally notice me and do just something for me. And when you do, I feel cared for. I also start learning to break my patterns as you start breaking your mental patterns; to break the years of conditioning and I am so thankful when you do that. I am the physical aspect of you and so I too need support of your mental and spiritual side just like everything else in the world. Keep supporting me and you will se how positively I start to respond and how bright I start to shine. Keep feeding me as much love as you can and I will thrive, just like you want me to.

Don't forget that I will do literally whatever it takes to keep you safe till your last breath, because it will be my last breath too."
