About the therapist
The Full Story
Growing up I was surrounded closely by people of different generations. I was always interested in understanding the human mind deeply. Being a keen Biology student, I opted for science in 11th and 12th grade and very curiously searched for the chapter on human brain to mug it all. That was my love for studing Psychology! I went on pursuing B.Sc. in Psychology from Pune University and immediately after studied 2 years of Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru by 2022. I started practicing as a trainee counsellor in my following 10-months long certificate course of Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Xavier's, Mumbai. I did multiple internships while completing the formal degrees.
I got into my first full-time job with Symbiosis Centre for Emotional Well-being which was the turning point for my career and it helped me tremendously to hone my skills. Coming from a background of dance and having a Visharad in Bharatanatyam has inspired me to be very connected with my mind, body and soul. I have always viewed healing as a very spiritual process. I can't explain in words how much I appreaciate the working of nature, energies, mind-body connection and a sense of connection with the higher power.
What has also drawn my attention is how trauma works and its effects showing up in our intimate relationships. This led me to expand my knowledge through following trainings:
-
TA 101, International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA): April 2025
-
60-hours of training on Couple Counselling (6-months), Muktha Foundation: January-August 2025
-
17-hours Trauma Informed Approach to Psychological Interventions, Flourish Lifeschool- August 2025
With 3+ years of experience and 1000+ therapy hours in individual therapy, my approach is trauma-informed drawing from Transactional Analysis, and mind-body perspectives. I support adults navigating concerns like anxiety, depression, self-esteem, procrastination, anger and relationship challenges. My love for teaching makes me enjoy facilitating workshops and trainings for adults in various settings including colleges and corporates.
Currently I am working towards expanding my skills in couple therapy and trauma-informed psychotherapy. Being associated with different organisations in both, educational and work setting, I have come across some amazing supervisors to mentor me as I grow into a senior professional.
Apart from a Psychologist, I am a certified Graphologist- handwriting and signature analyst (2020), which blasted open my curiosity to dive into a human's subconscious mind!
In my free time, I hop around the city to explore cafes, good food and cute cats which sometimes can go as far as hopping cities (gives me a breath of fresh air).
